Brenda Tomaras & Kathryn Ogas founded the law firm of Tomaras & Ogas in order to provide quality and affordable legal services to Indian Tribes and tribal organizations. Both Brenda and Kathryn have dedicated their careers to the practice of Indian law with the goal of assisting Indian Tribes through the advancement of tribal sovereignty and tribal self determination. In establishing the firm, they have sought to advance the goal of providing representation to Indian Tribes and Tribal entities that focuses on the needs of each individual client and furthers tribal sovereignty and self-determination, while at the same time protecting and promoting tribal values and culture.

Tomaras & Ogas represents clients in all areas of federal Indian law, including advising tribal governments on day-to-day business matters (such as employment/labor and contractual matters), all aspects of gaming (Class II and Class III), ordinance and regulations, all aspects of the free-to-trust process, cultural resources, Indian Child Welfare Act issues, and environmental issues.

Tomaras & Ogas has also provided legal services to individual Indians and non-Indian entities and individuals on general legal issues, including employment, conservatorships and guardianships, and wills and trusts.
